DonCoco Official Launch Event in V.I, Lagos

Lagos was abuzz this past weekend as Iki Leads Limited officially unveiled Doncoco, its newest line of premium spirits, marking a significant moment for the Nigerian beverage industry. The event celebrated not just a new product but a powerful vision: making world-class quality accessible to all.

Innocent Onwunali, founder and CEO of Iki Leads Limited, took center stage to explain the core philosophy behind Doncoco. In a move that sets the brand apart, the decision was made to produce Doncoco entirely within Nigeria.

Born in Nigeria, for Nigeria

“We saw a gap in the market for premium drinks that Nigerians could truly afford,” Onwunali stated. “Many existing brands are imported, and the added costs make them expensive. By producing Doncoco here at home, we remove that barrier without compromising on quality. This is a premium drink for the Nigerian people.”

He described Doncoco as a seamless “blend of boldness and culture,” crafted to create memorable drinking experiences. “We wanted more than just another bottle on the shelf. We envisioned a drink that commands presence; a drink that says, ‘I’ve arrived.’ From that thought, Doncoco was born—a spirit designed to speak to different moods, nights, and personalities.”

A Flavor for Every Palate

The Doncoco range boasts five distinct variants to cater to a wide array of tastes:

  • Doncoco Whisky & Cola
  • Doncoco Vodka & Orange
  • Doncoco Single Malt Whiskey
  • Doncoco Vodka
  • Doncoco Tequila Reposado

Despite current economic pressures, Onwunali emphasized the brand’s commitment to affordability. “Our goal is to ensure Nigerians enjoy premium products without breaking the bank. We aim to maintain our launch prices for as long as possible,” he assured, also hinting at a larger, locally produced bottle size to be introduced within the next eight months.

Embodied by Icons

The launch was graced by Nollywood legend, Kanayo O. Kanayo, who commended the initiative. “When you cook a good soup, you must give it a name, and that name sells it,” he said, toasting to the success of the homegrown brand. “This product has been made in our homeland to bring enjoyment and refreshment. Let’s toast to good health, prosperity, and Doncoco.”

He was joined by the brand’s official ambassadors, a dynamic group of Nollywood stars and influencers: Zubby Michael, Nosa Rex, Catherine Onoja, Dukori Patience, and Liberian-born Fanta Amonaline Kouyateh.

The ambassadors shared their enthusiasm for the new brand. Catherine Onoja expressed pride in representing a product that “offers something for everyone,” while Dukori Patience described Doncoco as a drink that “gives vibes and confidence.” Zubby Michael praised CEO Innocent Onwunali as a humble and courageous leader, stating, “Ordinarily, my role model should be from the entertainment industry, but Onwunali is my role model.”

The event was a vibrant fusion of music, style, and entertainment, with guests raising their glasses to celebrate the birth of what many are calling Nigeria’s drink of the century.

Welcome to the party. Welcome to Doncoco.
